I just recently bought a new Samsung 840 Pro (256GB) SSD and I've been getting an error trying to update the firmware with the included Samsung SSD Magician software.
I've tried running it as Admin, I've tried putting the update file(s) in several different folders (including an external HDD), and I still keep getting this error: It's driving me nuts!
If you right-click the yellow exclamation point, does it tell you more info about the error?
"Code 12 This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use.
One of the Edge 72 computers at work won't startup again after the user updated the BIOS via the Thinkvantage System Update program.
But I'm having a hard time figuring out how to fix it / reset it.
The method for reading these codes is pretty straight forward. Let me know and I'll get it corrected as soon as I can.
I definitely did not want to be in a position where we were manually updating BIOS versions.
How can I diagnose which resource is blocking this one from working? If it shows up under a different category but has a yellow exclamation point next to it, it's either a bad driver or hardware problem, but most times it's the driver.
I haven't been able to find out anything about error 12.
The codes that I am presenting here are from documents I have read through, found on the web, found in old books, documents and technical papers.
