Hi Joy When you click the Start button in Windows, do you see an icon somewhere for Camtasia? If so, just click it and the editor should open up.It’s always better to capture with the highest settings or resolution possible to ensure less pixelated captures.Even in my older Nikon Cool Pix L14, there are options for “TV movie 640” (640×480) that produces a decent-quality, standard-definition 480p video. In the editor, go to the more tab and choose the Record Camera option. From there you'll be able to select the camera input and adjust other settings. The base of the camera has a useful tripod mount thread and an access door for the battery and SD card. You can start capturing a video even if you don’t have a camcorder.
In addition, that model (and its successors) can record in 1080p.You can focus the lens yourself to hat you need the view to look . I would reccomend this webcam to anyone ,but do not expect pro studio results. Also the webcam does have a mic that works decently not real pro audio quality but acceptable and no turn on light of the camera is a good thing, some webcam on lights are distracting. This full touchscreen, LCD camera captures video quality of 1080p, full HD resolution. As you record this will go on to your timeline, where you can either add other video, or produce it for sharing.Just out of curiosity, why are you recording just the webcam? Thanks, Matt Pierce Tech Smith I sincerely hope you're joking Matt..... SO WHY oh WHY make it so hard to record JUST the webcamera?? every Q & A I have been able to find tells me a different answer!!!
